The Milanese company masterfully blends tradition with innovation. Each yarn tells a journey: from ancient artisan techniques to modern research to meet the needs of an ever-evolving world. At Milano Home, it will showcase Italian know-how and creativity through various interpretations of the art of embroidery.
Founded in 1983 in Milan, Aurifil is a leading company in the production of high-quality natural yarns, with a special focus on Makò cotton from Egypt. Its history is characterized by collaborations with international brands, artists, and designers, which testify to the excellence of its products.
"Aurifil stands out for an innovative and creative vision in the industrial embroidery and Home Textile sector," declares Elisa Conti, PR Product Specialist, "offering customized solutions and technical support. Part of the Auriga group, the company promotes the payoff 'Empowering embroidery,' supporting customers and companies in developing their business."
Can you describe the merits and peculiarities of Aurifil yarns?
"Aurifil yarns are renowned for the high quality of raw materials and their excellent technical characteristics. The optimal twist and finishing, combined with five different counts and a wide range of chlorine-resistant Indanthren colors, make these yarns ideal for high-level embroidery, decorations, and seams. Their versatility, resistance, and almost total absence of lint have won over a global community of embroiderers, tailors, and manufacturers."
Aurifil is a protagonist in diversified sectors, such as home and hospitality, "thanks to a consolidated experience that combines tradition and innovation. Choosing Aurifil means relying on an Italian company capable of offering high-quality yarns and technical and creative know-how to meet the needs of manufacturing industries and industrial embroidery operators."
What are the main application sectors?
"Aurifil presents itself as a reliable partner for shops and companies, thanks to a dual expertise: technical research for excellent yarns, such as GOTS-certified Makò cotton and wool, and creative innovation for diversified applications. Collaboration with Aurifil guarantees quality, personalized support, and innovative solutions to meet market needs."
"Aurifil masterfully blends tradition with innovation. Our history is the thread that binds us to solid roots, while our creative spirit projects us towards the future. Each yarn tells a journey: from ancient artisan techniques to modern research to meet the needs of an ever-evolving world. It is a harmonious dance between past and future, where each embroidery stitch becomes a work of art that unites memory and vision."

Can you anticipate something about the installation that you will present at Milano Home?
"Our exhibition area is a creative area, a meeting point of the embroidery production chain, a union between our world of yarn and Tajima industrial embroidery machines and the operability and flair of the best Italian embroiderers. This project stems from an innovative vision of Adolfo Carrara (who passed away on December 1st, Editor's Note), artistic director of the event. The goal is to show Italian know-how and creativity through various interpretations of the art of embroidery, a reality that is always strong and capable of offering new solutions also to the home decoration market."
