Founded in 1998 by Charlotte and Philippe Guéniau, Rice was born from the idea of bringing a touch of color and joy to homes around the world. After living in Paris for 15 years, the couple decided to change their lives and dedicate themselves to a project that combined passion, creativity, and sustainability.

Rice's first idea was to sell some handmade raffia bags from Madagascar. The success was immediate. From there, the idea arose to expand the product range, introducing colored melamine objects, cushions, and candles.

Most of the production takes place in developing countries, and Rice is committed to respecting international guidelines for production management. Furthermore, the company actively participates in social and relief projects worldwide.
