Our interview with Enrico Cencetti, Head of Marketing & Communication at Tessitura Toscana Telerie
What are the main characteristics of your products and what makes you stand out on the textile scene?
Our home textiles are made of 100% natural fibres: linen, hemp or cotton. Specifically, Tessitura Toscana Telerie products are printed using cutting-edge machines that give the product vivid colours and delicate nuances.
The designs are the result of careful research by the in-house graphic-design studio, which develops multiple ideas/concepts for each collection, producing artwork that can recall various drawing techniques and styles such as “classic floral oil-on-canvas” or “watercolour” or “pastel” rendered in the subjects drawn.
Are your collections sustainable and are they all Made in Italy?
Our TTT branded collections are all Made in Italy. Given the fabric structure, which is 100% made from a single fabric (linen, hemp or cotton), the fabric can certainly be salvaged and recycled for other purposes.
How much has the territory influenced your production and how many brands does the company consist of?
We are known throughout the world for product features that reflect our style and our roots: accuracy and taste, the cultural heritage of Tuscany where art, handicrafts and poetry have been intimately connected for centuries, the passion for life being the key to our work. The company's core brand is TTT Tessitura Toscana Telerie Firenze, and we also have a division that develops white labels.
What is the current trend in household linen and tableware collections?
For tableware, we have recently noticed a strong interest in the “Mediterranean” style, which is particularly popular for reproductions of lemon designs and ceramics. Certainly an important part is made up of floral themes that are both eccentric and extravagant rather than classical.
What new products will you be presenting at Milano Home?
We will present the new set of printed placed napkins called: 4Dinner a collection of printed napkins packaged in a reusable case made from the same fabric as the product. Made of 100% linen or 100% cotton, the printed patterns add class and sophistication to the table. A wide choice that offers many stylish ideas to brighten up any room. Each set of 4 napkins presents four subjects similar in tone and colour, and are designed with the usual refinement, taste and artistic flair of Tessitura Toscana Telerie. It could certainly be a valid smart and plastic free gift idea for any social occasion.
