“Milano Home is a new type of trade fair event designed to meet the needs of Italian, European and international markets. The goal is to combine people with products and content, trying to give a vision of the homeware sector starting from the moment of change we are all experiencing. A trade fair that is capable of offering new insights, thanks to a strategy and perspective in line with the retail world”.
Emanuele Guido, Show Director of Milano Home, described the new concept of the exhibition scheduled from 11 to 14 January 2024 in a press conference held on 4 October at the Salotto di Milano. The meeting was attended by Adolfo Carrara, curator of the event, Fabio Daglio, architect and lecturer at POLI.design, together with bio-architect Isabella Goldmann, architect Clara Bona, Gilles Massè of FrankBros Online Design Shop, Cristina Fioras, owner of 120 Mameli Strasse, Renato Bellone, owner of LisolaStore, Maria Laura Giroldi and Marco Raccuia, respectively Buying Manager and Divisional Merchandise Manager of the Home, Food and Office & Travel of Rinascente.
Nowadays, in order to cope with product standardisation, the watchword is 'customisation', namely being able to adapt a good or service to customer's needs and expectations through appropriate personalisation.
“The entire supply chain, from those who produce to those who distribute, must be able to respond to the demands of a consumer that is increasingly attentive to the respect of values such as authenticity, originality, quality and innovation, elements that today mark the difference between those who skilfully produce objects and those who use them to make their home unique. Milano Home – explained Guido – is a privileged interlocutor between the two sides, as it offers the opportunity to discover new articles, new collections, but above all new content, which is the basis for building a modern horizon for the home, decoration and giftware industry”.
One of the goals of Milano Home is to be an exhibition at the service of those who use it: from manufacturers to distributors, from entrepreneurs to craftsmen, from point of sales to interior designers, from online platforms to large-scale retail trade and the promotional sector. The world revolving around the housing system will be represented in its various forms. A trade fair that aspires to be a reference event at the international level thanks to a broad, qualitative and diversified proposal, capable of providing pragmatic and practical content for retailers and product scouting.
The exhibition will be divided into four areas: Vibes, Moods, Elements and Taste - Milano Home your way of living will add a schedule of initiatives and events aimed at highlighting the new and innovative frontiers of home décor. Starting with Green Circle, the project designed by Isabella Goldmann, a square that will put on display 60 products that combine beauty and sustainability, up to Brand Power©, an event organised with the collaboration of Promotion Magazine in order to favour the contact between supply (brands) and demand (large-scale distribution and retailers, organised distribution).
The events will include two talks promoted by POLI.Design, dedicated to Diffused residentiality and Co-retailing in stores and multi-channel experiences, both curated by Professor Francesco Scullica and architect Fabio Daglio; Living the present, a workshop promoted in collaboration with the magazine Platform Architecture and Design, where twelve Italian and international authors will investigate the evolution and change of classic domestic spaces in the wake of new lifestyles; Retail Academy: space for change, a series of workshops in which retailers will be invited to discuss upcoming and future scenarios.
