At Milano Home, Rippotai will present its “sound furnishings”: musical poufs that merge design with technology to provide a multisensory experience, conveying sound through vibrations, making it possible for deaf people to experience music via bodily vibrations.

What new products will you be showcasing at Milano Home? Could you talk about their features, values, and whether there is a particular product or collection that stands out?
The key products we will present are our “sound furnishings”, particularly an advanced version of our pioneering Soundpotai. This musical pouf merges design with technology to deliver a multi-sensory experience, capable of conveying sound through vibrations. This feature makes it accessible to deaf people, who can experience music via body vibrations. However, I can’t say more details about the technological and design advancements, as they are still under development. We will also showcase our collection produced within a prison facility, a project that holds significant social and inclusive merit, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
How was your company founded, and what are its strengths?
Rippotai was established with the objective of merging design, sustainability and social inclusion. As an Italian B-Corp, our core mission is to embed sustainability throughout every stage of the production process, from the initial concept to the manufacturing of eco-friendly furniture, furnishings and household items. Our key strengths include offering fully customised solutions, commitment to the principles of the circular economy, and our capacity to blend aesthetic appeal with practicality through the use of ecological and non-toxic materials. We are also dedicated to promoting social inclusion by engaging in initiatives that develop the skills of individuals facing difficult times, as exemplified by our collections made in prisons.
What is the nature of your relationship with the retailers, how important are they to you, and what additional value does stocking your brand bring to the shop owner?
We remain constantly at the disposal of our business partners, embracing a cooperative and adaptable approach. We don’t impose; instead, we attentively consider their needs to devise bespoke solutions that are perfectly suited to their spaces and needs.
