F.lli Campagnolo: a connection with the area, passion, tradition and innovation in its DNA

F.lli Campagnolo, a company founded in 1948 and based in Romano d’Ezzelino in Vicenza, Veneto, possesses a long-standing textile tradition. For generations, it has been handing down passion, craftsmanship, research into materials, respect and a strong connection to the area, the DNA of all the brand’s products and collections. 

Here is our interview with Maria Pia Campagnolo, CEO.

 

What is your connection with the area?

 

Maryplaid is a brand of the F.lli Campagnolo S.p.A. Group, a family business boasting over 70 years’ experience in the production and marketing of textile products, strongly tied to its origins and the area where it was founded and developed. In developing its home textile products, Maryplaid therefore has a very strong connection to its origins, to the family and to everything meant by the word ‘home’, in the broadest sense of the term. The name of the brand itself is dedicated to Maria Pia Campagnolo, whose creativity and desire gave rise to Maryplaid in 1995. The bond in the case of products is value-based and significant. We believe that it is the precisely the passion of our employees, the care, experience and expertise, and therefore the human capital, that make our collections unique.

 

 

How important is sustainability for your company?

 

In 2020, we undertook a sustainability journey, producing the first F.lli Campagnolo S.p.A. sustainability report in 2021. We conceive of sustainability from every angle, paying equal attention to the pillars of ESG: environment, community and governance. The second report is now also available on the F.lli Campagnolo corporate website. The reports firstly describe the Group’s activities, from its origins in 1948, but go right up to the present day with concrete actions in terms of sustainability.

 

 

What are the main characteristics of your products?

 

Research into style and materials, attention to detail, selection of colours and graphics are our distinguishing characteristics. In particular, embroideries and appliqués embellish and lend character to our products, such as blankets of various sizes, which for us have a very intimate meaning, of care and affection. Each season we develop different themes linked by a common thread that we try to communicate and convey to the end consumer. The home themes also tie in with the homewear line, for living your best home life in complete harmony.

 

 

How important is quality, craftsmanship and Italian manufacturing?

 

Quality is one of our fundamental pillars. For the most part, Maryplaid items are manufactured in company-owned factories located within the European Community, and several stages of development, from design to cutting, are conceived and implemented in Italy. We believe that the difference lies precisely in the attention to quality and detail, the care we put into each product that distinguishes our brand’s items. Entering into homes with delicacy is an honour and a privilege, and we want to live up to it.
